The right person for our job must demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in bookkeeping including but not limited to Reconciling accounts; Preparing trial balance of books; Posting journal entries; Calculating and preparing payroll; Preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports; Keeping financial records and establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • College, CEGEP or equivalent diploma/degree in a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Very effective organizational skills
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs, and email at a highly proficient level
  • Stress management skills
  • Time management skills
  • Be honest and trustworthy
